German zoologist (1857–1919)
Ewald Richard Heinrich Rübsaamen was a German teacher, artist, and amateur entomologist who studied gall forming insects, especially the gall midges (Cecidomyiidae), and worked on pest control in grapes, most importantly on Phylloxera.
