Ernst Gustav Kraatz was a German entomologist. He collected and described numerous beetles including Staphylinidae. Kraatz was a founding member of the Berlin Entomological Club and the German entomological society and the first editor of its journal, the Deutsche Entomologische Zeitschrift.
