Dwight Herbert Green was an American politician who served as the 30th governor of the US state of Illinois, serving from 1941 to 1949. Green was a Republican. Prior to being elected governor, he served as United States attorney for the Northern District of Illinois (1931–1935), and ran unsuccessfully as his party's nominee in the 1939 Chicago mayoral election.
