Dimitri "Dodo" Aleksandres dze Aleksidze was a Georgian theatre director and pedagogue. A leading figure of Soviet Georgian theatre who also worked extensively in Ukraine, he directed at the Rustaveli Theatre and the Marjanishvili Theatre in Tbilisi and at the Ivan Franko Theatre in Kyiv, and was named a People's Artist of the USSR in 1976.
