Dezső Jakab was a Hungarian architect of Jewish heritage. He was one of the most important architects in Hungary from the end of the nineteenth century to the 1920s, particularly known for his work as a major exponent of the Szecesszió style, the Hungarian strand of Art Nouveau, at the turn of the twentieth century.

Dezső Jakab was a Hungarian architect of Jewish heritage. He was one of the most important architects in Hungary from the end of the nineteenth century to the 1920s, particularly known for his work as a major exponent of the Szecesszió style, the Hungarian strand of Art Nouveau, at the turn of the twentieth century. He is regarded as one of the major founding figures of Hungarian modern architecture, in particular for his work in tandem with longtime partner Marcell Komor.
