About this person
Schneider started as a teen actor in 1980s comedies and the sitcom Head of the Class (1986-1991) before founding Schneider's Bakery in 1996 and pivoting to children's television. At Nickelodeon he wrote for All That and Kenan & Kel, then created The Amanda Show in 1999 and launched a string of youth hits: Drake & Josh, Zoey 101, iCarly, Victorious, Sam & Cat, Henry Danger, Game Shakers. He also wrote Good Burger (1997) and Big Fat Liar (2002). In 2018, as #MeToo spread, public allegations emerged of verbal abuse, sexual misconduct, and gender discrimination toward Nickelodeon employees, many underage. The network cut ties. The 2024 docuseries Quiet on Set detailed accusations of a toxic workplace; Schneider partly denied them and sued for defamation in May 2024.
