Choi Ye-na was born September 29, 1999. She competed on Mnet's Produce 48, a reality series that pitted trainees against each other for spots in a new act, and finished fourth - high enough to join Iz*One, a South Korean-Japanese girl group formed from the show's results. The group ran its course, and on January 17, 2022, she released Smiley, her first EP as a soloist under YH Entertainment.
