Charles G. Gross

Charles Gordon Gross was an American neuroscientist and psychologist who was a leading figure in the emerging field of cognitive neuroscience. He spent 43 years of his career at Princeton University. His experimental work focused on visual processing in the primate cerebral cortex, and he later became known for essays and books on the history of neuroscience, including Brain, Vision, Memory: Tales in the History of Neuroscience and A Hole in the Head: More Tales in the History of Neuroscience.
