Cesar Millan

Born August 27, 1969, César Felipe Millán Favela crossed from Mexico to build something improbable: a South Los Angeles rehab complex for the dogs other trainers wouldn't touch. By 2002 he'd opened the Dog Psychology Center, taking the cases that ended in bites and lawsuits. Two years later Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan turned that work into television, running until 2012 and airing in more than 80 countries. The show made him a bestselling author three times over - Cesar's Way and two others moved two million copies in the U.S. alone, translated into 14 languages. He and his former wife Ilusión launched what became the Cesar Millan PACK Project, funneling money into shelters and spay-neuter programs. The DVDs and dog-product line followed, each another way to bottle what he'd learned in the kennels: that most problems live on the human end of the leash.
