He has served as a member of the State Great Khural since 2008, having been elected five times to the parliament. A member of the ruling Mongolian People's Party (MPP), he has also served as Head of the Cabinet Secretariat from 2025 to 2026, Minister of Defense from 2024 to 2025, Minister of Road and Transport from 2022 to 2024, and Minister of Justice and Home Affairs from 2016 to 2017.
