Brad Fitzpatrick is read about 53 times a day, in 12 languages.
A typical day, 30 days to 15 October 2026
The middle day of the days counted, so one week of news cannot move it. The line under it is the last 390 days, one point a day.
Something wrong?Brad Fitzpatrick built LiveJournal when blogging was still strange, then kept building: memcached, OpenID, WebSub, Perkeep. The through-line is infrastructure - the pipes and protocols that let the internet actually work at scale.

@bradfitzAbout this person
Born February 5, 1980, Bradley Joseph Fitzpatrick is an American programmer who created LiveJournal, one of the early social platforms that taught a generation what online community could feel like. He didn't stop there. He authored memcached, the caching system that keeps high-traffic sites from collapsing under their own weight, then helped shape OpenID and WebSub, protocols for identity and real-time updates across the web. Later came Perkeep, his venture into personal data storage. Each project tackled a different problem in how people and machines talk to each other online, and each became part of the fabric.
