Robert Alan Attersley was a well known Canadian ice hockey player who competed in the 1960 Winter Olympics. He was born in Oshawa, Ontario, to Ernest and Doris Kilburn Attersley.During his lifetime he owned and operated several businesses and had a political career which extended to being the mayor of Whitby.
