About

Born William Bruce Rose Jr. in Lafayette, Indiana, on February 6, 1962, he moved to Los Angeles in the early 1980s and co-founded Guns N' Roses in 1985. The band's debut, Appetite for Destruction (1987), sold over 30 million copies worldwide and remains the best-selling U.S. debut; "Sweet Child o' Mine", inspired by his relationship with Erin Everly, hit number one. The twin albums Use Your Illusion I and II (1991) debuted at No. 2 and No. 1, selling 35 million combined, but the tour spiraled into riots — Rose was arrested for inciting the Riverport Riot — media rants, and feuds with Metallica…
