Aviv Kohavi is an Israeli former general who served as the 22nd Chief of General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces from 15 January 2019 to 16 January 2023. Before becoming Lieutenant General (Rav-Aluf), he was commander of the Gaza Division, commander of the Northern Command, commander of the Paratroopers Brigade and Military Intelligence Directorate.
