Arthur Qvist was a Norwegian military officer, Olympic horse rider and Nazi collaborator. A regular cavalry officer in the pre-war Royal Norwegian Army, Qvist competed in the 1928 Summer Olympics where he earned a silver medal and in the 1936 Summer Olympics. During World War II, he commanded the Waffen-SS's Norwegian Legion as an SS-Obersturmbannführer. After the war, he was sentenced to 8 years in prison for his collaborationist crimes.
