Antonio Vallisneri, also rendered as Antonio Vallisnieri, was an Italian medical scientist, physician and naturalist. He played a significant role in the early history of both biology and anatomy. Vallisneri is regarded as one of the fathers of modern geology and his work was highly valued by Charles Lyell.
