Antonina Maria Żabińska, née Erdman, was a Polish writer connected, through her husband Jan Żabiński, with the Warsaw Zoo. Together they smuggled out Jews from the Warsaw Ghetto. Her story was popularized through the 2007 book, The Zookeeper's Wife.
