Anirudh Ravichander is read about 2,333 times a day, in 18 languages.
A typical day, 30 days to 15 October 2026
The middle day of the days counted, so one week of news cannot move it. The line under it is the last 390 days, one point a day.
Something wrong?A song about soup made him inescapable. "Why This Kolaveri Di" was never supposed to leave Tamil Nadu - a goofy heartbreak track for a small 2012 film - but it leaked online, racked up half a billion YouTube views, and turned Anirudh Ravichander into the composer every star wanted.

Born 16 October 1990, Anirudh works primarily in Tamil cinema, though he's crossed into Telugu and Hindi. His debut track "Why This Kolaveri Di" for the film 3 went viral in 2012, pulling over 590 million views and rewriting the playbook for how Indian film music could spread. A.R. Murugadoss brought him in for Kaththi (2014) with Vijay and Samantha - "Selfie Pulla" became another hit - and that soundtrack remained his biggest calling card until 2019, when he scored Rajinikanth's Petta. In 2016 Sony Music signed him for independent albums and live work; the same year he joined Diplo on a remix of Major Lazer's "Cold Water". He's collected two Filmfare Awards South, ten SIIMA Awards, six Edison Awards, and five Vijay Awards along the way.
