Something wrong?A white hockey mask and distorted kicks turned Danny Masseling into the figure many call the "King of Hardcore" - a Dutch producer whose aggressive sound has shaped what modern hardcore means for over two decades.

Born 20 June 1981, Masseling built his reputation in hardcore's unforgiving scene through relentless output and a signature blend of warped bass and snarling vocals. The Angerfist persona - always masked, never showing his face - became shorthand for the genre's most uncompromising edge. Beyond the main alias he works the hardcore spectrum through side projects: the Supreme Team with Outblast, Tha Playah, and Evil Activities; Masters Elite with Catscan and Outblast; Roland & Sherman with Outblast again. Since 2013 he's performed with MC Prozac (Minne Roos), who took over the DJ Bloodcage name they once shared, the two of them keeping the mask tradition intact. The longevity is the trick - staying loud and relevant while the scene churns around him.
