About

Andrzej Sapkowski was born 21 June 1948 in Poland and became a fantasy writer who wove Slavic mythology into his fiction with enough specificity that readers called him the "Polish Tolkien." His Witcher saga — novels and short stories tracking the monster hunter Geralt of Rivia — has sold over 30 million copies, been translated into 37 languages, and made him the second most-translated Polish SF/fantasy writer after Stanisław Lem.
