André Chassaigne is a French politician and member of the French Communist Party (PCF). He served as a member of the National Assembly for the 5th constituency of Puy-de-Dôme from 2002 to 2025, and presided over the Democratic and Republican Left group from 2012 to 2025. He was the New Popular Front's candidate for the presidency of the National Assembly following the 2024 legislative elections, narrowly losing to Yaël Braun-Pivet.
