Soviet aviator (1923-1988)
Anatoly Yakovlevich Brandys was a Soviet Ilyushin Il-2 ground attack pilot during World War II who was twice awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union. After the war, he remained in the Air Force and became a lieutenant-general.
