Ottoman liberal journalist, politician and poet (1867-1922)
Ali Kemal Bey was a Turkish journalist, politician and writer who served as the Minister of the Interior of the Ottoman Empire in 1919 under the government of Grand Vizier Damat Ferid Pasha. Ideologically an Ottoman liberal, he was lynched by Nureddin Pasha's paramilitary officers for his opposition to the Turkish National Movement following Turkish victory in the Greco-Turkish War.
