Ali bey Huseyn oghlu Huseynzade was an Azerbaijani writer who played an important role in the development of an Azerbaijani nationalist movement at the start of the 20th century. His concept of Turkify, Islamize, Europeanize was reflected in the modern Flag of Azerbaijan.
