Alfred Charles Freiherr de Rothschild, CVO, was an English banker and art collector who was director of the Bank of England from 1868–89. A member of the Rothschild family, he was the second son of Lionel Freiherr de Rothschild and Charlotte Freifrau von Rothschild.
