Born 16 September 1987, Aleksei Vladimirovich Stolyarov teamed with Vladimir Kuznetsov (nicknamed Vovan222, born 11 November 1986) to form the comedy act. Their targets have been largely non-Russians critical of Russian government policy - politicians, activists, officials who pick up thinking they're speaking to someone else. The calls draw attention and suspicion in equal measure: observers label them state actors for the FSB, Russia's principal security agency; the pair deny it. The accusations stick, the calls continue, and the line between comedy and statecraft stays deliberately blurred.
