Born 10 September 1974, Aleksandr Vladimirovich Revva came up through KVN, the Soviet-era comedy competition that trained a generation of Russian entertainers. By 2006 he'd landed at Comedy Club as a resident performer, where the standup format gave him room to build characters. Somewhere in that stretch he created Arthur Pirozhkov, a stage name that stuck so hard it eclipsed his own. The persona carried him into TV hosting and voice acting, the kind of lateral moves a working comedian makes when one good bit opens other doors. He's Ukrainian by origin, Russian by audience, and better known by a name he invented than the one he was born with.
