Abu 'Abdallāh al-Husayn ibn Sa'id ibn Hamdan was a member of the Hamdanid dynasty, grandson of its founder, Hamdan ibn Hamdun, and cousin of the emirs Nasir al-Dawla and Sayf al-Dawla.
