Abu-Mahmud Khujandi

Abu Mahmud Hamid ibn al-Khidr al-Khujandi was a Transoxanian astronomer and mathematician. He was born in Khujand and lived in the late 10th century. He helped build an observatory, near the city of Ray, in Iran.
