Samuel Ealy Johnson Jr. was an American politician, businessman, and farmer who served six terms as a Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives in the 29th, 30th, 35th, 37th, and 38th Legislatures. Residing in the Texas Hill Country, he faced challenges as a farmer and cattle speculator. Johnson was the father of Lyndon B. Johnson, the 36th President of the United States, and the son of Samuel Ealy Johnson Sr.
