The viral moment gave him a nickname, Salt Bae, and a platform to scale. He founded Nusr-Et - his first name plus et, Turkish for meat - and expanded the luxury steakhouse concept across continents. By 2021 the chain stretched through Turkey, Greece, the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. The wrist flick became a franchise.
