Ottoman statesman
Mehmed Kemaleddin Pasha was an Ottoman military officer and the son of field marshal Osman Nuri Pasha. He became an imperial son-in-law (damat) through his marriage to Naime Sultan, a daughter of Sultan Abdul Hamid II. Although the marriage elevated his position within the imperial hierarchy, Kemaleddin Pasha later became involved in a clandestine relationship with Princess Hatice Sultan, the eldest daughter of Sultan Murad V. Following the exposure of this affair, he was expelled from the imperial family and exiled to Bursa.
