A typical day, 30 days to 17 October 2026
The middle day of the days counted, so one week of news cannot move it. The line under it is the last 392 days, one point a day.
Something wrong?Mark Angel turned smartphone skits with his niece Emmanuella into the first African comedy channel to crack a million YouTube subscribers - short, homegrown, and built on a kid's timing.

About this person
Born 27 May 1991 in Nigeria, Angel built the Mark Angel Comedy series around child performers, chiefly his niece Emmanuella Samuel and her cousin Success Madubuike. The formula - quick, accessible shorts rooted in everyday Nigerian life - scaled fast enough to make his channel the first from the continent's comedy scene to hit one million subscribers on YouTube. Emmanuella, now 16, and Success, 13, remain fixtures in the work that turned a local format into a continental benchmark.
