About

Eusebius was born around AD 260 in Syria Palaestina and became bishop of Caesarea around AD 314. Working alongside the scholar Pamphilus, he studied the biblical canon and produced a series of learned works: the Demonstrations of the Gospel, Preparations for the Gospel, studies on gospel discrepancies, and the Onomasticon, an early geographical lexicon of biblical Holy Land sites. His Ecclesiastical History earned him the title "Father of Church History," tracing Christianity's trajectory through persecution and councils.
