Pasaban reached the summit of Everest on May 23, 2001, her first eight-thousander. Over the next nine years she returned again and again to the thin-air giants, ticking them off one by one. On May 17, 2010, she became the 21st person - and the first woman - to stand atop all 14. She has also climbed the seven summits, the highest point on each continent.
