Cameron Mica Boyce started young, a child actor threading through 2008's Mirrors and Eagle Eye before landing in Adam Sandler's Grown Ups circle. Disney locked him in early: Luke Ross on Jessie from 2011, then Carlos de Vil across the Descendants trilogy, the purple-haired son of Cruella who became the franchise's breakout. Between 2012 and 2017 he juggled three Disney series at once - Jake and the Never Land Pirates, Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything, back-to-back Descendants shoots. He died July 6, 2019, sudden unexpected death in epilepsy, twenty years old. Two projects came after: Runt in 2020, Paradise City in 2021, roles he'd already shot, a short career that never got to turn the corner.
