Canadian physician and suffragette (1857–1943)
Ann Augusta Stowe-Gullen was a Canadian physician, educator, and women's rights activist. In 1883, she became the first woman to earn a medical degree from a Canadian medical school, graduating from Victoria College in Cobourg, Ontario. Her achievement marked an important milestone in the struggle for women's access to professional medical education in Canada.
