## Bio

William Anthony Parker Jr. was born May 17, 1982, son of a basketball pro, and came up through PSG-Racing Basket in France before the Spurs took him 28th overall in the 2001 draft. He slid into the starting lineup fast and became the engine of San Antonio's dynasty: four rings between 2003 and 2014, six All-Star nods, and the 2007 Finals MVP. During the 2011 lockout he played for ASVEL in France, and he closed his NBA run with a single season in Charlotte before retiring. On the international stage he led France to the 2013 EuroBasket crown, earning tournament MVP and top-scorer honors, and briefly held the competition's all-time scoring record. The Spurs hung his No. 9 in the rafters, and in August 2023 he entered the Hall of Fame. Today he coaches ASVEL in the LNB Élite and EuroLeague.
