## Bio

Born July 30, 1968, Crews played college ball at Western Michigan before spending time as a defensive end and linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams, San Diego Chargers, and Washington Redskins through the 1990s. When football ended he pivoted to acting, landing in comedies like Friday After Next (2002) and White Chicks (2004) before Julius Rock - the no-nonsense dad in Everybody Hates Chris (2005-2009) - made him a fixture on television. Brooklyn Nine-Nine followed in 2013, with Crews as Terry Jeffords for eight seasons across Fox and NBC. He hosted Who Wants to Be a Millionaire from 2014 to 2015, starred in his own BET reality show The Family Crews, and took over America's Got Talent in 2019. In 2017 he went public with his own story of sexual assault during the MeToo movement and was named among Time's Person of the Year; he has spoken openly about growing up with a violent father and become an advocate against sexism.
