Before that, from 10 December 1994 until his appointment as bishop, he served as a priest of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Mbalmayo, Cameroon. He was appointed bishop by Pope Francis. He was consecrated on 8 December 2016 at Ebolowa, by Piero Pioppo, Titular Archbishop of Torcello.
