# Muhammad ibn Abd al-Mu'in

> Muḥammad ibn 'Abd al-Mu'īn ibn 'Awn, also known as Muhammad ibn Awn, was Sharif and Emir of Mecca from 1827 to 1851 and 1856 to 1858. Through his grandson Hussein ibn Ali, he is the ancestor of the Hashemite dynasty of the modern Kingdom of Jordan.
