## Bio

Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel was born 23 March 1994 and trained as a pianist and dancer before music became the center. He posted a cover of Davido's "The Money" online, got spotted on Twitter by Davido himself, and signed to the star's DMW label in 2016. His debut single "Eleko" dropped under that banner and set the template. In November 2018 he released his first full-length, The Mayor of Lagos, while still on the roster. He left DMW in 2021, put out "Let Me Know" as an independent move, and followed in October that year with his second album Back in Office under Sony Music West Africa. The arc bent from discovery to autonomy in five years.
