# Luva de Pedreiro

> He films himself scoring goals in amateur pickup games wearing construction gloves, yelling "Receba!" after each one. The bit - raw, repetitive, weirdly infectious - made him the most-followed football influencer in Brazil and turned his catchphrases into currency among actual pros.

## Bio

Iran de Santana Alves was born November 7, 2001, and started posting football videos to social networks using the handle Luva de Pedreiro, a reference to the mason's gloves he wore while playing - a nod to the cold-weather gear European players use. What began as meme material broke through in 2022 when his amateur skill videos, packed with shoutouts to famous teams and players and punctuated by his signature lines "Receba!" and "Obrigado, meu Deus," started racking up followers at record pace. By year's end he held the highest football influencer count on Instagram in the Americas, his phrases echoed by athletes and celebrities across sports. The construction gloves stayed on.
