# Lil Tay

> At ten she called herself "the youngest flexer of the century" and the internet couldn't look away. Three months of wealth-flaunting videos made her one of 2018's most bewildering viral figures, then silence - until a death hoax in 2023 put her name back in every headline.

## Bio

Tay Tian surfaced in early 2018 claiming to be nine (she was ten), posting videos from luxury settings where she boasted about money and rapped for millions of viewers on YouTube and Instagram. The run lasted three months before her father went to superior court in Canada seeking full custody and control of her influencer career; her mother eventually won full custody instead. The accounts went dark. In 2023 a false announcement of her death appeared on her Instagram, triggering widespread media coverage, and later that year she released a single, "Sucker 4 Green".
