> La Ganesan Iyer was an Indian politician who served as the 16th Governor of Nagaland from February 2023 until his death in August 2025. His previous tenures included ones as the 15th Governor of Manipur between August 2021 and February 2023, and the Governor of West Bengal between July 2022 and November 2022. Before that, he was a member of the Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh. Ganesan was a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party and a veteran of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
