> Jerry Edwin Abramson is an American Democratic politician who served as the 55th lieutenant governor of Kentucky (2011-2014). He also served as the mayor of Louisville for an unprecedented two decades. He was the only person to serve three consecutive terms as mayor of the city of Louisville (1986-1999). He later served two terms as the first mayor of the consolidated city-county of "Louisville Metro" (2003-2011). He was also the first Jewish person to serve as mayor of Louisville.
