## Bio

Greta Tintin Eleonora Ernman Thunberg was born 3 January 2003 in Sweden. In 2018, she began a solo school strike outside the Swedish parliament, demanding action on climate change. The strike grew into Fridays for Future, a worldwide movement of student-led protests. She traveled across Europe and beyond, addressing political leaders and speaking at major climate events, her activism covered intensely by international media and drawing both fervent support and sharp criticism. Over time she broadened her focus to human rights and global justice, voicing support for Ukraine, Palestine, Armenia, Cuba, and Western Sahara. In 2025, she twice joined a humanitarian flotilla bound for the Gaza Strip, drawing international attention and political controversy. Time named her one of the 100 Most Influential People and Person of the Year in 2019.
