> Gerard Thomas McNamara is an American former basketball player and current head coach for Syracuse. He was an associate head coach at Syracuse before becoming the head coach of Siena, a position he held from 2024 to 2026; he then returned to Syracuse as its head coach at the beginning of the 2026 offseason. A former guard for the Orange, he never missed a start in his career which lasted from 2002 to 2006. McNamara helped lead the team to the 2003 national title.
