# Enrique Cipriani

> Enrique Cipriani Thorne was a Peruvian doctor, writer, researcher and educator who participated in the student movement of 1961 that led to the creation of the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Médicas y Biológicas, which later became Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia. In 1993 Cipriani founded the Clínica Médica Ambulatoria to serve the population in the San Martín de Porres district. Cipriani was recognised as a member of the Academia Nacional de Medicina del Perú in 2006.
