## Bio

Michelle Davina Hoogendoorn was born on 12 November 1995 and built an audience on YouTube before the cover work paid off. In 2018, her version of "Duurt te lang" climbed to number one on the Dutch Top 40, ending an 11-year drought for women singing in Dutch at the top of that chart. A year later she joined Marco Borsato and Armin van Buuren on "Hoe het danst", which also hit number one and became the first Dutch-language song to pass 100 million streams on Spotify. The arc from bedroom covers to national chart dominance happened fast, and the numbers held.
